Come deer hunting with us in Barbour and Henry County, AL and enjoy some of the finest whitetail hunting on the eastern edge of Alabama’s famous black belt. Our area is well-known for its production of trophy class bucks. We are located in Eufaula, AL, 50 miles south of Columbus, Georgia; 50 miles north of Dothan, AL; and 85 miles east of Montgomery, AL.
We have several different tracts of land, ranging from river bottoms, hills, hardwood bottoms, clear cuts, and pines. All of our properties are private land with the game being intensely managed. Our lodges are clean and comfortable. Both lodges include furnished kitchens. Hunters should bring their own food or plan to eat at nearby restaurants, or we can cater your evening meals with some of the best southern food you will find anywhere.
Our customers will enjoy hunting over food plots and game trails. We provide permanent box stands on food plots and active deer crossings, but we encourage hunters to bring their own climbing stands if they wish to do so. We provide transportation to and from the hunting area, and dress your deer after your kill. January is traditionally the time of the rut in Alabama. Our whitetail deer hunting season is open until February 10th. This gives most hunters an extra chance to hunt as most states hunting seasons have already closed. Our January hunts book quickly, so we are offering 10% off on all whitetail hunts prior to December 20. This is an excellent opportunity for an exciting pre-rut hunt, and a great time to harvest a really nice buck. Book now for the upcoming season. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your hunt, and the balance is due upon arrival. Our belief is smaller groups equals more personal attention to you. We like to limit our groups to 6 to 8 hunters at one time, if possible.
The dogwoods are blooming and the gobblers are sounding off. This is one of the most exciting times in the Alabama woods. We have had a high success rate on mature gobblers weighing 17-22 pounds in the past 5 years. If you have never experienced a big gobbler drumming and strutting only yards from you, then you have missed a great experience.
We offer a guided hunt or an unguided turkey hunt. Our guided hunt is with an experienced guide who can get you right on top of the action. You will hunt with your guide for the morning hunt, and in the afternoon, we will place you in a strategic point such as a chufa patch or a strut zone. Success rates are normally high. Our unguided hunt for the more experienced hunter is also just as exciting. We begin by giving you a good orientation of the property you will hunt. We will show you where the birds are and how to get to them, then it is up to you to put your turkey hunting skills to the challenge. Most hunters are very successful and enjoy the satisfaction of outsmarting a gobbler on their own. We like to limit our turkey hunters to a maximum of 4 to 6 hunters in camp. Everyone has plenty of area to hunt, and no one will interfere with your hunt.
Our season in Alabama opens mid-March and runs into mid-May in Georgia. So get in a kick start hunt in Alabama before your season opens! Give us the opportunity to call that big gobbler for you next spring.
Wild hog hunting in Alabama is quickly becoming a favorite pastime for our guests. Many sportsmen have learned that wild hogs, especially wise old boars and sows, are as challenging to hunt and harvest as that wise old buck or gobbler. To combat what many consider a menace to deer and turkey habitat, Alabama has virtually unlimited hog hunting seasons and bag limits. The result for sportsmen is a great opportunity to take an additional trophy home while deer or turkey hunting, plus put some tasty pork in the freezer. Those who target wild hogs specifically will welcome the additional hunting opportunity that these feral hogs provide.
